Proposed anti-troll bill ramps up protections for Aussies facing online abuse

 New laws proposed by the federal government could see internet service providers and social media companies such as Facebook blocked if they do not remove harmful content in time.

The proposed bill, currently under consultation until February next year, would require platforms to remove severely harmful, abusive or bullying content within 24 hours or face restrictions within Australia.
